These pictures are very difficult to see, but we went to Lake Tahoe today and there happened to be a bear in our midst. He swam out into the water trying to catch some ducks, came back on the beach, sniffed somebody's clothes, and took off in the woods. I wish, wish, wish I had a zoom lens.

What a neat experience - I've never seen a bear in the wild- we don't have them here. I always need a zoom when a seal pops his head up out of the water to look at us when we are kayaking or sailing. But my friend has already dropped one expensive camera overboard so we never have a zoom out on the water :)
